Need advise on a new GFX card.

Hello all.

I am currently looking for a new GFX card, available budget £400.

I currently have a EVGA 8800 ULTRA Superclocked and have been very happy with it. However, its getting a little old now for my needs.

My current system is as follows

Quad Core Q9550 cpu
4GB Geil Ram
700W Hiper PSU
Asus P5N-D MOBO

I have been looking at the Ati 5870 and nVidia295???

Still none the wiser....

Help me out guys.

very peculiar budget there i would have said 2 5850's but unfortunately they are now 240 thanks to not enough supply. either wait for the 5850 to return to £200 and buy 2
or spash out on one 5870 with the possibilty of getting another in the future
if your are not rushed for time you could wait for fermi nvidia's DX11 card but this could take a long time

That's quite some budget! Might be worth sitting tight for a few more days & seeing what price the 5970 launches at.
