Im in need of some help as i know nothing about this sort of thing.
Ok, I have my broadband cable coming into my room, it connects to the ntl box and an ethernet cable runs from the box to my pc. The thing is there is only one ethernet cable connection on the box. I need 3 - one for my pc, another for a second pcin the attic, and another for my xbox360. Is this possible and how do i go about sorting it out? What do i need etc?

Cheers guys.

You'll need a router. Wireless would be a good idea so you can run the one in the attic. The other pc and xbox can connect directly to the router, as does the modem.

Ok cool seems simple enough, do you have any recommendations router wise? Is the router 2in1 you can run direct with cable and wireless at the same time? Is the 3 running off the one connection going to have any effect on the speed?

Obviously enough, 3 people all using it will slow it down (and not necessarily by [connection speed] / 3). If they're not using it, it'll be no slower.

As for router recommentations, it's an extremely common topic, so you'd be well advised to search.
