Going to get a new computer soonish, prob wait for quad cores to come out so that the core2duo's get cheaper, and wait until RAM prices fall again (hopefully they will) and hope to house this all in an eclipse.

So, i have a couple of questions:

Will it get any cheaper over the next, say, 4 months?

What fans are suggested to put into this case (think i heard the ambers are good)

Might buy it early and house my current pc in it.

It might get a bit cheaper, but almost certainly not significantly so. Would expect it to be pretty much the same price really.
I use ambers and they're great, even on 5v the temps are great, such a nice open case, that you don't need huge powered fans, so you can enjoy the silence.
BUY IT. Such a great case, absolute pleasure to work with.
Only disadvantage I really think about is the fact its a bit big to put on my desk......

Agreed, awesome case. ambers - well cant knock them for only £10. There are "better" fans available (this is subject to opinion) for example i use Yate Loons which are quieter but that is very much down to the users opinion. You cant go wrong with *** ambers, i know the Acoustifan dustproof Quiet 120mms are very nice as well but a fair amount more expensive

all i can say is - buy the case ASAP you will love it to bits, i promise.

Wahey, sounds like good responses. Wasn't planning on putting it on my desk, going next to it instead.

So i guess two 120mm fans for front and back.

Any really good cpu fans that are suggested for this case? need one to replace my stock P4 one.

You will have to volt mod the ambers or buy quieter fans (Scythe 800rpm fans on OcUK) if you want the system to be quiet on your desk though.

Scythe Ninja Rev B is very quiet and now comes with standard mounting mechanism for Intel boards. Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is good too, but noisy at over 2000rpm unless your motherboard has a 4pin cpu connector and can control the speed. I would go with the Scythe.

Agreed with the above to be honest, Scythe is definatly a nice one, works well in an akasa eclipse with its rear 120mm vent fans and just generaly good air flow. If your on a a budget however go for the freezer 7 pro, ive got the freezer 64 and its lovley for the price

I have a Mirage 62 (exact same as the Eclipse but with a front door) and I can honestly say its the best case I have ever worked with/owned.

As for fans, I have 2 Zalman ZM-F3's with the supplied 7v resister cable and they are silent and move a fair ammount of air.
