just a little question . i just got minecraft to play with some friends .. i have a 6990 graphics card and i get more fps on bf3 all ultra then on minecraft. i hv changed all setting on minecraft so i am wondering if i can do something to the graphics card? ..[ well the graphics card has nothin wrong as it plays bf3 amazingly smooth on ultra (never tested how much fps) .]

I had very low frame rates with Minecraft, I did a little research and i believe it was something to do with the version of java i was running. I have 64bit windows 7 but by default (due to the browser running in 32bit) it downloads the 32 bit version of java.

Download and install the 64bit version of java if you have not done so already and see if it helps.
