Need an expensive board?

Hi all,

I'm doing my research on these 2500k/2600k chips and everyone's sig shows a motherboard in the range of £130-£180.

Do these chips need those expensive boards to allow for these 4.7GHz+ overclocks?

nope, pretty much any P or Z series motherboard with a high end cooler can do that

no asrock pro 3 and cheaper boards aslo over clock well but have less features

I have the Asrock p67 pro 3, currently only running at 4.5GHz 1.3v but have had it higher. If I could have got a cheaper board at the time I would have
