Hi all, I'm wanting to link my Xbox 360 to my PC, for the Media Centre streaming stuff, but I only have the one Ethernet port on my motherboard, which I need for internet access.

In order to get an extra Ethernet port available, would I need to buy one of these: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-083-DL&groupid=46&catid=1002&subcat=420

Sorry for what might seem to be such a trivial and/or stupid question, but I know hardly anything about Ethernet and whatnot.

Cheers.

That would be fine (possibly overkill;)) the £6 + vat one would do just as well, in fact any 10/100 nic would do the job - a lot of unbranded cards use "realtek" chipsets and tend to be very cheap.

Before you go spending money on another NIC for your PC, what are you using for your internet connection? If you've got a cable modem straight into the PC then fair enough a new NIC is going to be cheaper than a router but if you already have a router (cable or ADSL) then all you need to do is connect the XBox to that and you're away.
