I currently have the following spec:

AMD 64 x2 6000+
Abit KN9
4GB (2x2GB) OCZ Vista Gold
2x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1's.
nVidia Geforce 8800 GTS

Its getting a bit long in the tooth now so i need to upgrade but don't have much money to play with (probably around £250). I use the PC mostly for games so see the graphics cards as the place to start, the processor could prob do with an upgrade too. As i said i don't have much money to spare so can't be doing with a big overhaull of motherboard etc. I need the best performance for my very limited funds :D. I'd prefer to stay with nVidia. Any suggestions?

Oh was hoping i could get a better CPU, can't i even get a tricore? The 5850 does seem too much for just a graphics card for me. I wouldnt really want to spend more than 150 on it, the 4870's seem to be in that range, is it just a case of picking the most expensive to get the best? Are the ATI drivers any better than they used to be, always used to be so sluggish and clunky.

EDIT

Looks like the 4870's all have sound cards on them. I've not seen that before (not really checked out hardware for years now), i presume it would be best to use that rather than my motherboards onboard sound?
