Need assistance getting Word back

Hi chaps.

I am being a bit lame here I think.

I recently rebuilt my entire rig and took out my old boot / MS drive with XP and swopped it for an SSD with Win7.

I have realised I need to use MS Office / word / excel again and it is on the old boot / MS drive. Luckily my case has a slot on the top of it for an HD, so I have just put it back in and can now persue the stuff in the old drive.

I can see a folder for MS Office, but what exaclty do I need to look for to boot Word back up?

Am I likely to need a reinstall? I am hoping not as I downloaded it direct from MS and am not sure if I can find the email receipt. I mean, even if I do are they likely to let me dl it again?

You will need to reinstall. Office installs all sorts of stuff - I doubt it is even worth trying to track it all down.

There is no reason why MS wouldn't let you download it again. Though obviously you will need to find your details. If you can't find the email [tut tut] you can always boot up from your XP drive again and use Magical Jelly Bean Key Finder - stupid name but it will find all MS Product Keys, including Office.

You may be able to use an Office install disc from elsewhere and use that key.

Quick update if anybody is interested.

I emailed MS, they promised to get back within 24 hours.

They emailed me back today with download instructions and a new code.

Thumbs up to MS.

thats a point sorry to hijack, back when I was a student I got the ultimate seal deal, but I can't downlaod the file .....this was going back a few years...anyway I can get it back? consdering it was using my collage e-mail which is long gone
