I have recently moved into a new house without broadband. I had registered to NTL but either they didn’t come during the hours they told me or I missed them. Either way I don’t have broadband up and running. They can’t do anything for over a week so I’m looking for a new ISP ASAP.

We have a BT landline and previously had broadband in the house with another ISP (former tenants). I’m looking for an ADSL service that I can basically get up an running in a hurry.

Does anyone have any ideas? Also what was the link to the ISP reviews?

If your line is Free,IE no orders on it, and you need to get up going quickly.
have a look at www.newnet.co.uk.

I signed up with them at 11 O'Clock in the morning and I got on line with them at 2.30 the same day , well impressed at getting connected in 3 1/2 hours.

I've had no problems with them and always good speeds.

I'd wait for ntl if it was me... it seems crazy to get ADSL in a cable area.

Its not crazy, NTL are a CRAP COMPANY, i'd much rather have ADSL with a decent supplier.

I would consider going for bulldog then.

cool i will check them out, though I remember people saying a number of bad things about them when they first started touting highspeed access.

The previous broadband comes off the line on Friday, so hopefully i can be up and running by Tuesday.

bulldog will only offer me an option to either take a new bulldog phone line at £10/m or to change my existing line to bulldog rather than BT.

yeah you have to change to bulldog as your telephone provider. But it will mean you should get truely uncapped internet upto 16mb which is double bt's best offering.
