I need to buy a capture card so that I can backup all of my family's old vhs cassettes as they are getting very old now and my mum is afraid of losing them for good. However, I don't see the sense in going to the expense of buying a capture card for a one off task (even if it is important), so I want to get some hardware that I can use afterwards (e.g. myth-tv). I have a pretty good system so I don't necessarily need an on-board decoder. What I need:
- Linux Compatible
- PCI or PCIe
- Sufficient audio and video inputs so I can hook up a vhs player and start capturing (e.g. composite, s-video, 3.5 jack)
- DVB-T (DVB-T2 gets bonus points)
