Need Ccleaner advice.

I only use the cleaner part for clearing out my internet cache etc, made the silly mistake of using the reg cleaner really messed up my system, which i'm not very proud of admiting

. The question is, in the cleaner part it has options for temporary files and windows log files(i've un-checked them both for now), is it safe to delete them?

And is there any other advice that you guys could give?

Temp files are just junk files created by installers/archive tools etc and can safely be deleted.

Windows log files, im not too sure. Depends if you're an experienced user, as microsoft sometimes ask for certain log files for tech support etc.

Surprised its messed up the registry, i've never had that problem. What specifically is happening?

If you have a registry backup - restore it.
If you have a windows restore point available, use it.

Or.. what I'd do...

reinstall windows.
