I want to play CSGO and dota 2 at 1024x768 settings around med-high settings

I have:

corsair 430W builder series PSU
AsRock N68C-GS FX
AMD athlon 3800+ 2.4ghz
2gb ddr2 RAM

Right now I have a GT520 - this runs CSGO at all low, lowest resolution, everything at around 50FPS, DOTA 2 around 30fps. This isn't good enough - I want to run CSGO around 60fps at med-high settings

I want to spend AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE just to get the games running fine

I was looking at GTX 650ti

But this seems very cheap and it seems as though it's an overkill as I rarely game.

I was looking at the HD 4850 here:

this way I can upgrade CPU as well as graphics card

I do not want to play any other games other than these two so would this card work with my PSU and motherboard? I will probably get a quadcore with it.

What I'd do... sell your cpu, motherboard and ram.

Get the Athlon x4 640 with a cheap am3 motherboard, 4gb ddr3 ram or the Athlon x4 740, cheap fm2 motherboard, 4gb ram and a graphics card of course.

Edit - nevermind, your motherboard can handle a decent enough cpu such as the Athlon II X4 640. But I'd sell the ram and get 4gb ddr3. Pretty sure people still pay loads for ddr2

well if I had money I would

right now Im thinking of getting the hd 4850 and upgrading the CPU and perhaps upgrading ram later

I only want to play those two games so I don't think a complete re-haul is necessary.

Yeah you're right.. see my edit. The Athlon x4 640 is great value for money and works with your motherboard. I'd recommend changing the ram to some cheap 4gb ddr3 though if you can. Your psu is fine.

are you sure the psu is ok but I read online the hd 4850 requires a 450W psu, I know I have a pci-e cable available but my PSU is only 430W
