Thinking of getting a bitFenix Prodigy to house a Gigabyte H77N-WiFi motherboard but I don't know what cooler will work with case and board. Won't be overclocking so really just looking for something quiet.

I'm also looking for a PSU that will fit the prodigy. I'm currently using a SG05 with 450 PSU and runs fine so would need at least 450w

My budget is about £100 for both Cooler and PSU

Thanks

I've never really used a stock intel cooler as I've just assumed they were pap! The CPU I'll be using is a i5-3570K Retail. So is the the supplied intel cooler on this good enough? I expect some noise when playing BF3 but while browsing etc. I would like it to be quiet.

Also would this PSU be any good as it seems a bargains at £52.94?

Sorry forgot to paste link etc. updated now though!

I bought the K version because it was a good price at the time and when the time comes to sell it will be more desirable.

I've taken onboard your advice about the coolermaster but I've always like Corsair PSU's and thought the Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 as long as it fits is a bargain.

The Xigmatek Loki is a lot of cooler for £15 and if it fits I may end up with one :)

My other concern apart from noise with a CPU cooler is whether it will fit my motherboard as it seems most coolers block the PCie. Ideally I would like a low profile quiet cooler that doesn't extend beyond the width of a intel stock cooler.

Thanks guys, lots of useful info.

I'm going to try the stock cooler first as I'm not overclocking and I'd be a fool to spend money if not really needed!

Also going to go with the Corsair Builder Series CX 600W V2 unless anyone says it won't fit the prodigy or it's loud.

To save making a new thread can anybody tell me whether you can have the USB ports etc. mounted on the right side in photo's mount on the left in any way?

Also is it worth buying the BitFenix Spectre 200mm Fan and using it in conjunction with a supplied 120mm fan mounted on the rear. Will this combo provide enough flow while being quite and not obstructing anything like my GTX 670?

I decided to go with the Corsair TX550M Modular PSU and Re-use a corsair H50-1 cooler. I intend to fit the radiator to the rear of the case with two apache fans in a push/pull configuration.

I've also ordered a 230mm BitFenix spectre pro fan so along with the apache fans fingers crossed it will be cool and quiet!

Another thing I've decided to do is return the Gigabyte H77N-WIFI and purchase a Z77N-WIFI as it was only £10 more and gives me the option of overclocking if I decided to go down that route.

Should all be delivered tomorrow :D
