be aware that most "gaming" mice are over priced tat... theres very few mice that are actually good for gaming and they may not be the ones you'd expect.

Also it depends on how big hands you have, whether your a palm or finger tip user and the sensitivity you play with.

Usually suspects (mice that actually work for gaming) would be WMO 1.1a, Razer DeathAdder, logitech MX518, etc.

General rule of thumb - if its screaming "4000+" DPI its probably rubbish.

Like everyone else has said. MX518 if you want to stay below 30 quid is the dogs nuts. However if you can stretch another tenner, get a Razer Deathadder, they are awesome.

yh ....my friends got that gaming mouse....

but thing is.....its design looks ....banged up (like a mouse thats been smashed with a hammer many times) =/

any others?

Well if you're primarily gaming in a small room with poor ventilation and curtains drawn you're very likely to sweat when you're in there with the say, 600W heater that is your gaming hardware.

Especially now the humid heat monster that is the British summer seems to have set up camp.

exactly..UK is like 20-30 degrees....HOT!!!!

but il survive =)

but is there any other mouses which you would recommend? other than the previous mentioned =/

I'm using a Steelseries Kinzu. OCUK does it for ~£5 more than that MX518.

Two buttons + scroll, nice tracking, comfortable mouse shape. No extra buttons (that I'd never use).

I've replaced the original feet with ones cut from a sheet of PTFE and I'm using a cloth mat. Works fine for me.

ive looked at that 1....didnt like the design =/

looks too.....dull or ordinary =/

The Mx518 is excellent.

The G5v2 is even better.

I have tried both. Do not go for the overpriced, latest 20,000Dpi bs that they are trying to sell.

Put it this way, if you want an excellent gaming mouse that will last forever then choose logitech. I had mine (mx510) for 6 years everyday fps gaming, and have now just given it to my mum so it can carry on being used, still in perfect nick. I just needed the updated software for Windows 7, which is why I now have the Logitech G5 v2.

I'm sure the hugely expensive moice from other company are very good too, but they don't do anything differently or any better than the Logitechs (mx518, G5 v2 or G500 are all great and all £40 or under).

Dull, ordinary gaming mice are usually the better ones.

Any of the SteelSeries mice are good, as are most of the Logitech ones. I would avoid Razer personally, their products are overhyped and overpriced for that they really are.

MX518 would be my suggestion.
