Hello all, i've just migrated to new isp yesterday(BE), i've installed my modem correctly with all green lights solid however i have a few problems:
A)I have both ethernet aswell as usb wires connected, if i disconnected the usb wire i'll also disconnect from the internet.
B)I had to reset bios as my pc wouldn't load up due to idiocy of moving pc when having it turned on.It was 5.8mb before bios reset until i installed drivers which boosted it to 9mb, now after bios reset it's 5.8mb again with drivers installed.(however drivers are greyed out on motherboard cd menu yet it says it installs them?)
C)I have a realtek network card unplugged pc states, i have 5 local area connections in LAN or high-speed internet section found in control panel yet only that one has an x mark near it due to what i said.
Now i am guessing i just have to plug this network card in to make it connect via ethernet properly? (modem is connected via local connection 3 it states in control panel whereas realtek network card is local connection 4)
This is new to me kind of so sorry for being a nuisance, thanks for any help.
