Hi all, I have a dynamic ip address assigned by Sky using their provided Netgear router. I want to run an FTP server, but my address changes too frequently for me to manually update my DNS record.
How can I set this up to work automatically?

I currently have a DNS / web url provided via Freedom2Surf if this helps.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks for that, it solves one part of my problem but not everything.
That will solve my pc based ftp issue, but I also have a NAS which I can run in FTP mode which I'd like to be able to access remotely. no-ip requires a pc to run it, and the NAS won't be able to.
I've heard people talk about setting their router up to automatically update their DNS record. Can anyone provide any more info on this?

It does indeed and I have now set it up. Thanks for the help.

The only downside is that I've just discovered that my Sky IP range isn't accessible from my work's network :(

After all that!!!!!
