Hi all. I have virgin broadband superhub which has 4 outgoing ports. But the trouble is I have used all of them up and I need to connect another one in. Is there anything I can get that will give me more free ports but keep the router I have. Sorry but not clued up with these things. cheers

Get one that supports Gigabit (1000Mbps).
Just connect it to the router with a network cable. There's no configuration required.

Yep, but you may be better off with an eight port as you loose two ports with the interconnect.
4 port router + 5 port switch = 7 available ports
4 port router + 8 port switch = 10 available ports
Connect the two together with an Ethernet cable and then use any of the ports as you like.

As above get an 8 switch port as they usually only cost a few quid more than a 5 port. It is better to have too many extra ports than not enough.
