Need Fast System for Music Studio

My mate does a lot of music stuff and needs a complete system for one of his studios. Could do with a fast processor and about 2gig of RAM, decent 64-bit processor. Asthetics not of huge importance in regards to cases etc..

Any ideas?

If you look down the hardware pages you will see the same thing mentioned over and over agin about processors core 2 duo being the daddy seen as it sounds like it wont be overclocked probably best with E6600, 2gb of any PC5400 memory and depends what features you require from a board

the most important thing i would have thought would be silence? Look into Running the core duo passive? with low speed/db fans in the case
