All over the world...
Just wondering if anyone had this, ive had it for the past few days but last night after getting fed up of COD3 and Splinter Cell i thought id give it a go and its not too bad actually.
I can honestly say its much much better than the crap demo they put out, the framerates in the actual game are much more smoother and fluid like than the demo version.

Anyways just trying to figure out my way around it, having wingmen is quite a cool concept actually and helps you win races or get into the lead a bit more easier etc. I have to admit that im quite used to NFS MW so this is a bit of a change ie night time driving. But still not a bad game imho, went online as well and had a few fun races on live...couldnt really see any lag issues either as a few people were saying its quite laggy but it did download an update.

All in all, not as good as MW but i guess it will grow on me...seems like an easy 1000 pts for the gamerpoint whores out there:p....

Really? I thought it looked quite an effort to get 1000 GP's. Certainly harder than MW.

I will agree that the full game is much better than the demo, which I thought was absolute garbage in virtually every respect.

I actually quite enjoyed the demo, thought the racing was fairly fun and the drifting was easy but enjoyable. I'll be buying this fairly soon, I just need all the people who owe me money to pay up so I can buy this and several other games I want.

I just picked up Most Wanted, which is great fun- bar the embarrassing storyline.

I played the Carbon demo and wasn't very impressed. Do you think the full game would convert me?

Hmmm i had a look at them and they didnt seem too impossible to achieve...saying that gamerpoints dont mean much to me tho:p. Only 2 games ive completed for the full 1k points, NFS MW being one and Madden 06. Other than that GRAW i completed the other night, single player missions and got a whole load of achievements but havent got the full 1k points....but then ill take what i can get:p.

But yes the full game is much much better than the demo...

MW is highly enjoyable ill admit although ive finished it now completely. But the full version of Carbon, as said before is much much better than the demo...well to me it is...a lot more smoother and doesnt tear or drop frames as much as the demo did. In fact i find it much more smoother than MW, tbh i only started playing it last night and so far it looks like fun...but ask me in a few days time and ill be in a better position to answer. It also has a silly storyline as well, not that i paid much attention. Basically Cross from MW is still after your ass...catches up with you but then a group of street racers come and sort of save you etc.
Actually if you have seen Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift, its very similar to that ie drifting etc.

I completed and enjoyed Underground 1, but undeground 2 was a step back for me as it was just to big, too many races and no real fun to be had in part due to the cheating ai . Most wanted was a big improvement , quite fun to play but ive still away to go to complete it. Carbon for me is a Fun Underground 2 and puts right everything that was wrong with u2. Although carbon is the shortest game of the series it does have the best difficulty balance. That said the challenge doesnt start until the forth part of the city, where the ai cars start to get silly. endup just racing the one ai car that seperates from the pack by a massive degree. I found it a good game overall.

I'm enjoying the game so far, the storyline is pretty predictable and the races get a bit repetitive, but the drifting tracks etc are fun.
47% into the game and just have the Camaro (or whatever its called) and I've modded it nicely, engine wise. Other cars aren't worth buying!

Funny thing is, I've completed half the game and unlocked 0 of the 50 achievments!

Sound and graphics are very good also.

Im the same, completed over 50% of the game and no achievements as of yet. I'd say i prefer Carbon to either of the Most Wanted games.

Check out the reward card section to see what still needs doing to unlock something. youll have to lose a race in order to get one part ;)

also, you should unlock cars as you progress. i got one of the boss cars by pure chance for selecting the right bonus card. so i dodnt know how easy it is to unlock everything :|

An easy 1000 gamer points?

Sadly mistaken.

In order to achieve this, you need to play well over 300 online games, winning 6 in a row, letting your opponents have a 10 second head start and then reverse over the finishing line, 50 free roam challenges, getting over .5mil on a drift event, obtaining ALL reward cards which entails at least one other career run through in which you only buy one other car but no upgrades and have to hope to god you get a pink slip in order to achieve the $1,000,000 in cash. Beating an EA moderator online and achievements which you cannot actively work towards (The Knockout Fever, Canyon Craze, Pursuit Pandemic and Carbon plague)

I’ve only just done 62% of the achievements (for 535 points) but according to MGC that makes me the 80’th highest achievement earner in 19244 copies of the game. No its not easy mate, definitely not compared to the MW points. Which effectively equate to a mere 130 in NFSC compared to the 1000 in MW for simply completing the game once through.

The full game is loads better than the demo and getting the gamerpoints arent as easy as most wanted by a long way .

NFS:U was ace, I didnt like NFS:U2 at all! NFS:MW was alright, took me a while to get through the last three bosses as I got bored. Carbon is alright so far, over 50% of career done, one achievement unlocked for playing online during a raceweek or something.

The framerate is never 'smooth' imho. Like, the part of races where you go around a pier, just as your driving towards the end, before a corner of the pier, the framerate suddenly becomes fast, and everything suddenly moves quicker than it was, causing you to oversteer/brake too much.

i love all the N4SU series, including Carbon if not abit short this time around in gameplay (not enough races). Also like the fact that its gone back to night time racing, it suits the style of gameplay more so this way. But i think this needs to be the last in this series now though and prehaps they should go back to their roots and make another true N4S game set in various countries around the world like it used to be, it would be nice to see it all in Hi-Def glory

Does the AI still cheat?

In Most Wanted cars parallel to you seem to increase in speed as you nitro, if you total them at the start and get a massive lead they're bombing past you at impossible speeds by the middle of the race etc.

I believe it's to stop the game from becoming boring by you being much better than the AI, lol

Yeah you seem to never pull away from them, its annoying :(

Playing it on the original xbox.

Yep AI still cheats. It's pointless using boost whilst leading.

Found the game very easy up until the last area which I'm on now. Won the pink slip to Wolfs DB9 (which can't handle for ****!) and done half of the last area. Got $350K in the bank, just need to decide what next car to buy and mod to hills in order to finish, either a Ford GT, Lancer, Gallardo or Skyline :p

Thinking Ford GT.
