Need For Speed Carbon

Well according to ign, seems like Carbon is the top selling game of all the platforms, in fact out-stripping WWE...interesting as a lot of people have said its a crap game:p

Anyways after playing some more last night, i have to admit that the tire squealing effect is so damn annoying:p...even driving in a straight line causes the tires to squeal lol...no not really but just making a slight adjustment to your steering causes the high pitched squealing noise:(...highly annoying...think ill have to turn the sound effects off.

One thing i have noticed is that in MW you could tune the car on the fly ie if you went into options...you could adjust the boost, steering and suspension but i couldnt see that option in Carbon...shame really as that was quite useful. Seems like that when you buy performance parts you have to specify what sort of tuning you want done on it....dont really like that tbh. And the auto-sculpt part??, seems like you can only sculpt the standard wheels or the ones that are available in the sculpting bit...shame you cant do it on the aftermarket wheels unless im missing something??. Another annoyance is the paint??, you no longer have the gloss or custom paint jobs that you had in MW...again maybe im missing something or you have to further unlock parts to get that bit available.

Still pretty enjoyable though even though different to MW but with MW it took some time before i started to really enjoy it...guess the same goes for Carbon...

yep agree with you on the tires, is very annoying but have got used to it, as for thetune the car on the fly in MW i never used that option, was never needed for finishing it

True but isn't that partly because it on basically every format available?

I found it helpful especially when trying to out-run Sgt Cross and his merry band of men:p. But then my carrera gt was plenty fast to outrun most of them but Cross seemed to keep up, when his crew couldnt...

Guys, any tuning tips for my Merc SL65?
62% into game, trying to win a racewars near the top of the map, below the red chunk, and finding it hard to get into first. My car has all the performance addons maxed...is there certain tweaks to be made to these that would be better? tune for torque or horsepower and what not. Or should I change to a different car! The rivals just shoot past me even when i'm doing 150+

I don't 'drift' around corners much, perhaps thats my problem...not used to drifting, lol, is there a certain nack to doing it?

I sold the wrong cars first time around and the skyline wasnt fast enough for me right at the end of career mode 98% and with hardly any money i couldnt buy another ride and tune it up so i started again and i am using the DB9 that i won off that dick wolf .

I found a good way to drift on the canyon , get to the corner then give it a shot of *** but not too much seems to work ok for me .

I started with the alfa this time so will i unlock more exotic's this time round because i used tuners first time ?

It's not just the drifting I have problems with, its the performance settings for each performance addon. I started off tweaking the engine, transmission etc one notch towards the left, for greater acceleration, but the rivals always shot past me. I changed it for one notch towards speed, and it still happens :(

How do you tune your DB9? Which settings for each type and the like :)

I didnt really do much i just buy the performance kits and use the default for each one but i did choose best speed for the engine upgrade and you have to remember that in some races the AI have faster cars that you sometimes .
