Bottom line, Criterion are involved - race/chase and smash is their game, so come on boys...KICK EA INTO TOUCH!

I am HOPING!!!! That EA manage to go back to the days of NFSU/Most Wanted etc for this.......the franchise needs it so much!

Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2 was fantastic, so heres hoping they are actually giving Crit. free rein to make a new engine and not use the clunky pap from Pro Street / Carbon / Undercover

Think of it.....BURNOUT + and the bst bits of most wanted and hot pursuit 2.....OH MY WORD!

It seem's gaming companies get drugged with ideas which have no relation to what the fans/customers want, and end up destroying the franchise by going too far.

hopefully going back to their roots with this, they can sort that out,

NFS World was a let down and its just carbon multiplayer edition

Oh wow.. Remember putting so many hours in NFS Hot Pursuit when I got a 3Dfx voodoo 2 way back in 1996?? ish..!!

I had a 12MB voodoo2 so was able to load up the in car dashboard, it was a fantastic game... the last NFS game that really played well and was a lot of fun..

all overs that not lived up to NFS Hot Pursuit.. NFS Shift looked fantastic, but man did it handle like a bag of spanners..

Not holding my breath but if this is anything like NFS Hot Pursuit from 1996 ish then this'll be excellent..

Yep i had that too, remember the gfx were WOW....550 Maranello was fave car :)

Agreed....let keep it ol' Skool EA please :D

The best of the series by far.

NFS3 was a kickass product for the pc, back in the day when EA went the extra miles for pc releases. Might have taken 5 months to show, but for the wait we got downloadable cars, full 3dfx support, force feedback, and detailed in-car dashboards that the ps1 release missed on.

Lan play was bang on to boot... I know there taking inspiration from the original premise of nfs, hoping they pay attention to what made nfs3 so great.

Hope for a mix of point to point racing, and long mountain road courses, lambo's, jags, ferarri's.. and ofcourse the law!!

Criterion's involvement gives me confidence, looks like EA might have another winner on their hands and looks like a defo purchase for me.

You can see the burnoutyness in it too. I can't think of a single bad game produced by Criterion, even that PS2 hoverboard game was pretty good fun. This is what NFS should be, good to see it back, especially with TDU2 on the horizon as well.

cops and robbers again.....about time EA pulled their heads out of their backsides and gave the fans what they wanted.

deffo looking forward to this one

I'm actually really impressed with that trailer despite no actual gameplay. I haven't touched a NFS game since underground 2, but maybe this can bring me back to the series.

Edit: Having said that, after watching the gameplay trailers beneath the cinematic trailers it looks like tripe. The car handling looks terrible and unrealistic and........just no.

Hopefully this turns out better than NFS: World, because I'm finding that terrible at the moment!
