Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

Just a quick headsup that Nvidia re releasing an new WHQL driver next week which is confirmed by them on their forums as having AA fixed on Nvidia cards only obviously!
 
Just tried the patch, can't tell any difference after a few races, other than that there are much fewer players online due to players of different versions being unable to play together!!!

The game really ought to not allow players with the old version to play online any more, so that they are forced to update. I expect most players are completely unaware there is a new patch out.

If you have the game and haven't patched yet, please do so! ;)
 
messed up my wheel.. both shift and HP after the patch have the brake pedal always on.. :/ did not do this before patch..
 
Just started playing this on my new system. It's a good pick up and put down game, but it still lacks that storyline and integration feel that Need for Speed: Most Wanted had. For me, when I played MW I wanted to keep on playing it, climbing up the blacklist to finally get to Razor and making the get away from Cross. With HP it doesn't feel like there is a storyline of any sort. Having said that, they haven't really done it well at all since MW, so it's like being stuck in a sort of limbo! Maybe EA need to get some decent writers in! :p
 
I got my final golds and distinctions today and I must admit it is disappointing that there is nothing else 'to do' in single player mode other than beat other people's Autolog times. Of course there is the multiplayer, which is good, but you spend as much time waiting to play as you do playing.
 
Cool! Will Steam patch its self or can you use these .exe installers to update?
I have noticed on this game that when it's minimized it still takes up 50 plus % of your CPU which hopefully this patch sorts.

Manually download it as apparently recently Steam have not been up to date with integrating patches into games like this one!
 
Please add me to your autolog friends billybod, i like all the trying to beat each others times e.t.c.

For those that still don't have the game, it is only a fiver now if you look round for it.
