Hi there, first post in this forum :)

Currently trying to complete this game but really, really can't do it. I've beaten all the blacklisters including Razor and am trying to evade the cops with a heat level 6 which is insane!

No matter how hard I try I just can't complete so am asking you guys for some tips on how to do it.

Cheers.

This seems to work for me, but it's a bit of a fudge I guess...

Instead of taking out your fastest car try a slower one but with good handling. I found if I took out my Golf instead of any of the top 3 cars the cops gave me a little more time on all heat levels. They seem to get more angry if I'm driving a faster (in standard guise) car. The cops don't crowd me so much, which gives me just enough time to do the ducking and diving required to shake them off in the end.
Now I thought this might be related to the bounty associated with each car but it doesn't appear so. My Golf has the highest bounty of £10.5m and is also 2nd in my Top 5 individual pursuit costs - £6.5m.

You can't change what car you get dude. Am driving the BMW from the beginning. I've completed the game apart from this final pursuit.

For that bit, i just got onto the nearset motor way. You only need to get about 30 of the 35 milestone thingys and mia will phone you.. just keep going around the motorway until you have to pull off.. it will show you on the radar..

I must admit it took me about 4 tries :)

I was finding this quite hard, but then I figured out that you don't really need to do anything except avoid capture for 5mins. So I just drove round in a big circle in one part of the map for a few mins with cops in pursuit, I think it's round the stadium or round the school campus something like that.... you know, a 2-lane road with trees down the middle of it.

I currently have 99% completion in career mode, because despite winning all the races, beating all the blacklist and escaping the city, I still haven't done one of the milestones for bl#3 or something.... avoiding 12 roadblocks. Dunno if I have the energy to try and do that tbh.

Sorry, I misread your post. I read it as trying to get away from the cops in general. I think I left it at around 80% or there abouts as it was very tiresome.

No problemo.

Completed the game a few hours ago, found that the number of cops that chase you die down when you enter the rosewood area.

I am playing the game again and it's much more enjoyable this time around.

I completed the game a short while ago and I too found the milestones really ***** boring after a while, I did all the ones with minimal cop likelihood first :)

My advice for avoiding heavy police levels :

Stay away from the edges, they will try and pin you against something. So stay clear of those crash barriers and narrow streets !

Dont let them get in front of you, once they're in front of you they can put their brakes on and pin you down.

Fishtail 'em. If a police car looks like its gonna come past you, wait untill its rear half is about level with your front half, and then veer into them. The push on the rear half of the car should send them spinning out of control and if your lucky, hit the crashbarrier so hard it takes them out.

obviously, choose your very fastest car, and stick to wide open spaces like freeways

if you get hit by the SUVs, then immediately hit reverse. They never expect this and you can sail straight by them. Then give your car a quick handbrake flick 180 and commence in the opposite direction.

drive offensively, do everything you can to take them out. The more cars you take out, the less there are chasing you, obviously ...

no the difficulty is determined by the blacklist number you're at

have you noticed how all of a sudden the cars get faster than yours at blacklist levels 3 and 2 ? even though you've got all your bars maxed ?

the game scales the other cars performances based upon how far into the game you are

in a nut shell, thats the most difficult career mode gets.

Same here - races are fairly easy but the milestones caused me a lot of trouble, mainly due to boredom. After beating the game I've gone back and done all the races without too much hassle, but still need the one remaining milestone for 100%.

One thing I have noticed is that the tollbooth races and are a bit easy in career mode, I usually switched to one of my backup cars for those (in order to drop the heat level on my main ride) since you can easily do them with 30+ seconds to spare even in sub-standard motors. The challenge mode tollbooth races are a bit more, er, challenging :)
