Bought the game cheap, but no manual

I am loving it to bits!

in 2 days im already No.5 on the blacklist!! :D
ive had a pink slip to rivals car on ALL but the Supra and Corvette C6

im using the Gallado jeeez its FAST! :cool: got 200,000 cash as well

becuase i havent got the manual, No.5 races are dam hard now, I am wondering what the timer thing is? that slows the game right down?

Also the pick up truck icon, i have 2 markers on that, if i get a third do i loose the car?

Got the Gallardo and then completed the game in that. My favourite car i nthe game :)
Haven't played it for ages though
 
I think the car just gets impounded for a time if you run out of jail marks. The slow time thing is just to help you make sharp corners.

The most important thing is probably to abuse the N.O.S as it allows you to turn corners that are far to sharp as it launchs the car ahead and gives better grip than normal.

I installed underground 2 again the other night , loving it ATM :)

I'll reinstall MW when ive finished this, can u sell your cars in U2 ? ive forgot
 
I thought the slow thing was so you could dodge spike strips and road blocks?
It lets you be real precise.
 
The slow thing is also good for road blocks. It gives you time to steer clear of any spikes :D

The damn slomo thing does my head in. You turn the slightest little bit and lose half of your speed!
Only ever use it by accident :p
 
although i played it on the xbox 360, i though this was a fantastic game, i used the supra for the whole game, having a clio at the start iirc

cant wait for need for speed carbon, as it seems to be the same sort of thing, im a sucker for this EA churn outs each year :D

i couldnt buy a clio for first car

i bought the Chevolet carbon
 
i used the gallardo for most of the time

that was untill i unlocked the porsche carrera GT

id spent so long not actually spending any money (of course the blacklist car comes maxed) that i could have enough cash to max the carrera out and mod it. Bit of a bodykit and a bigger spoiler went nicely :)

having a couple of fast cars is handy, especially when you get to level 5 heat. You just cant complete the "escape a police chase in 3 minutes" on that heat level. Do it in a porsche carrera GT in heat level 1 and its childs play.

Use your nitrous for going round the corners 1337 style with very little braking and you should be able to beat the later cars when they cheat/use catch-up. My favourite cars in the game were the Porches as they seemed to handle very well.

Didn't like the game at first but got used to the changes and enjoyed it, even if I did prefer catch-up to be off.

Then again it just might be 'cause Josie Maran was very fine looking. :rolleyes: ;)

Is this game popular on online leagues at all?

Are you talking about the M3? It really isn't that good at all, there is nothing you can do to it and it's stats are pretty poor in comparison to most other cars, from memory I think I've maxed out about 5 cars all with better stats and all handle so much nicer.

What is the slow-mo thing? I don't think I've ever used it, the only button I've needed is for NO2 and I've all but completed the game(I haven't done the challenge where you need to evade the police for 30 minutes, I normally either get caught in a stupid fashion at about 25 minutes or lose the police and have to restart so I'm stuck on 67 out of 68 until I can be bothered to finish it.

//edit why does the forum star out N.O.S. what is that an acronym for that should be banned?

no the blacklist gallardo you get for beating number 6.

did me all the way up to blacklist 2 when i unlocked the carrera GT. Of course by then id risen 3 blacklist spots and not spent a single penny lol so had 700k on which to buy and max a carrera GT in one go.

*edit* blacklist number 6 is ming. Which probably describes his car. First thing i did was remove the stupid decals, wheel and colour.
