Need for Speed: Most Wanted

Well. I am buggered if I can get any further on this game. I seem to be completely stuck at Blacklist #5. I just cannot get to first place in another 3 races I need to win. In fact, I typically come last way behind others as I seem to hit other cars and generally spin around corners and lose all control, all too frequently. If I brake too much, I spin. If I accelerate too quickly, I spin. At this point I am in a Lamborghini Gallardo maxed out as much as possible but it still seems a load of junk.

Anyone got any pointers?

I always found the computer stupidly easy to beat even though this was like the first game played using a contral pad, as oppossed to the keymouse/mouse setup.

Anyways, from what i can remember don't bother to brake around corners. Go as far around as you can without brking and then using the nitrous/boost - as using that will force the car into a straight line.

Kinda surprised really as the computer does suck and i thought it made a lot of the races too easy.

Good luck getting all the bounty to race blacklist #1, that took a few attempts for me

Don't think I've ever used the brakes in Most Wanted. You lose more speed braking than you do clipping the wall and bouncing off it.

Simply put, the AI cheats in MW, which can be very annoying. For example, your competitor might hit a wall at high speed, meaning he has to reverse and start up again. You have a perfect race. Give it half a lap and he'll already be on your tail. Also go side by side with a car and hit the nitrous. Watch as how magically he can go as fast as you without any nitrous boost.

The trick I've found is ease off the nitrous when in front, as they AI will catch up regardless. Save it for getting up to speed if you clip a corner, or for coming out of turns.

Use the slow mo feature on the bends and when you go back to norm hit the turbo to get back upto speed. Also try not hitting anything including tree's, roadsigns, ect,ect, they all slow you down
