Need for speed the run

i downloaded it to try it and now im going to buy it i did compleate the run the game runs very smooth even on my gtx 260 n so you should have no probs with the gtx 580 oh did i mention its by frostbite 2

Its a shocking game, I completed the run for the lols then promptly uninstalled it. Dont waste your money!

if theres no demo of a game it doesn't mean u can download the full to try.
If there was a demo, no-one would have bought this piece of pap (which is probably why there isn't one! :p)

If developers are going to insist on churning out terrible games with no demo, then people will continue to download them to test rather than spending £30-40 on a coaster.

no wonder pc game prices are getting higher.

Actually, that's called inflation ;)

but anyway they day will come...

i really don't think it's just that

Ok, but i'm in need of a new racer, any recommendations welcome.
I've been playing to death the following-

F12011, DIRT 2 & 3, TOCA RACE DRIVER 3, TRACKMANIA UNITED FOREVER & CANYON, FLATOUT 1, 2 & ULTIMATE CARNAGE, PURE & GTR2

but it's not just this game .

Fair enough. I know you're wrong, but you're entitled to your beliefs

Not sure what you mean by this, but "ooh, scary!!"

To be honest, other than CoDern Warfare, PC games haven't actually increased in price. In fact in real terms they've reduced in price. I remember paying £25-30 for new games about 10 years ago, the same as they cost now.

But this isn't the thread for fallacies about piracy.

Don't buy NFS The Run. It's terrible!

Just got this game, its quite a odd game.

I've been playing multiplayer and its basically the same as hot pursuit 2010.

Single player is weird, its like playing a rpg inside a racing game, it even has quick time events.

If you're just going to play multiplayer and you liked the hot pursuit remake and you don't mind more of the same then its not a bad purchase, but I wouldn't buy it just for the sp as it is quite a jarring mix of genres.

Bought this last week in a sale for £15 2 DVD retail version (15.4GB install a lot of gfx data  ).

Gfx are very nice as its using the Frostbite 2 engine with full monty settings it does look pretty in places but also a strange mixture as some pre-rendered cutscenes look awful.

Takes around 2.5 hours for the run.

Then your left with a lot of SP challenges & the MP so all in you get quite a lot to do but the main SP game length is shocking as well under 3 hours.

If you can find for the right price its worth buying as the gfx are pretty good but its on 2 DVD's & the digital download is around 18GB so retail is way better as no disk check after install & yes it does need Origin running at all times otherwise it CTD's constantly.
