Looks really unfinished. Think I will wait for TDU2 - looks better in every way.
Same here last closed beta i got invited and it started on the friday and finished monday morning. The e-mail went in my spam box on sunday evening, fail.
I am looking forward to it though.
Looks interesting this; free to play (up to a point) so should draw in the numbers, and actually designed for PC, whereas TDU2's main aim will be the console market......so EA's game has the potential for more depth etc, unless they screw it up of course.

Bahhhh same issue i had with the AvP demo big border around the actual game and no option to use a gamepad. 
Been playing this, OK so it is only the beta but my first impressions aren't that good:
-Doesn't remember my settings so I have to set them every time I start the game
-Can't adjust refresh rate
-Feels stuttery at 60fps
-Getting lots of NETERRORs when trying to start multiplayer games
-Graphics are pretty average, doesn't feel like a 2010 game (something like GRID has arguably better gfx)
-Handling is pretty hilarious, extremely arcadey, doesn't feel like NFS at all (more like Outrun2006, Midnight Club 2, Street Racing Syndicate sort of feel). Most corners you can just keep it floored as your car seems to be glued to the road most of the time. This is exactly the sort of thing that can give the series a bad name (look at the likes of Porsche 2000 or maybe Shift to see handling done much better).
-Can't redefine controls.
Now far enough some of this stuff like settings retention, changing keys, maybe networking etc you would expect to get ironed out for the final release, but I suspect the handling will remain largely as-is.
Ultimately it feels a bit like an arcadey version of Most Wanted, with a few powerups thrown in and more focus on multiplayer.

That's what I thought but after actually playing... no. It's rubbish currently (and not just for 'oh its only a beta version at the moment' reasons).
i have to say, the latest BETA is running a lot better and load time etc have dropped. You can also get an MP race in literally 20-30 secs 90% of the time......bout time!

Downloading now, just checked this video review and the game looks and plays worst than I though it would. Still I am going to give it a go as it's free for first 10 levels.
EDIT: Now I know why there aren't really any posts about this game, this is a total garbage and not worth your time. And paying for this is just ridiculous.
