Need For Speed

I've recently been hit with a bout of nostalgia. I'm wanting to play NFS but am unsure which one to go for. Ideally the closest thing to Underground but with newer cars etc.

From a quick search Undercover is looking the favourite - but supposedly it's too easy? Is there a better one that includes full customisation/free roam?

underground 2 is a classic.

Most Wanted by a mile. It never got better than that.

One of the only games I've played and finished twice. Loved it.

Am I to assume you both mean the original as opposed to the newer version? Customisation looks minimal in the newer of the two.
