I'm looking for a decent backup solution for my documents in Vista. I don't need disk imaging or anything like that, just a way of scheudling the back up of a few folders.

So yeah, idealy I'm thinking of a commerical solution that can run silently as a service and run backups at scheduled times, maybe twice a week.

I want to be specifying 2 seperate HDDs as the backup destination (both on the local pc) and also to an FTP site.

So any recommndations?

doesn't have FTP, but SyncToy is pretty awesome, from microsoft

it only copies new & updated files after the first run

Yeah it's pretty much perfect for my needs. I don't really need FTP anyway as long as I have my files mirrored on two other drives.

I did have to hack it though. Stopped responding as soon as I opened it. Turn out one of the DLLs that comes with it isn't x64 compatible so needed replacing with a newer one. All works now.

MS are aware of the issue and are meant to be fixing it in the next release.
