I have just ordered this Asus DCU II 680 TOP and also the BenQ XL2410T 120Hz

Just looking at the details again while waiting/hoping the order will ship today i noticed the difference in connections available the GFX card has 2x Dual-Link DVI-I, 1x HDMI 1.4a & 1x Displayport but the Monitor has 1x Analogue, 1x DVI-D & 1x HDMI.

From what i was reading DVI-I and DVI-D are not directly compatible with each other, So i was wondering if the HDMI 1.4a is the best option without buying adapters.

DVI-I and DVI-D are compatible. DVI-I carries both analogue and digital signals, DVI-D carries digital only signals. The monitors DVI input is digital only hence the DVI-D and the GPU can output analogue and digital over DVI hence DVI-I.
For your setup you will need a dual link DVI-D lead and I'm pretty sure you get one with the ben-q, If not this is what you would need. It needs to be dual link for the extra bandwidth needed by 120hz and 3D.

DVI connectors pic to help explain. The 4 pins surrounding the flat pin are the analogue signal pins.
