I got my computer today, I'm using I5 2500k with an Asus P8P67 Intel P67 Mainboard.

I've just literally downloaded the 1053 BIOS update, then restarted my computer.

But when I boot up this message shows up:

"NTLDR is missing, press ctrl + alt + del to restart".

I literally cannot get past this black screen with text.

I can get into the BIOS but that's about it.

How can I fix this?

Cheers

Thanks that worked but now the CPU is maxing out at 3.3Ghz in CPU Z, but in the Asus suite is says 4000Ghz

I've set the turbo multiplier in the BIOS to 40x and set the BCLK to 100 and set my ram to 1600 Mhz so why is CPU Z saying that?

The CPU voltate is 2.4v isn't that way too high?

I've configured the settings in BIOS but it's still saying 3.3Ghz in CPU z. It jumps from 1.3ghz to 3.3ghz, never goes above it.

What are the voltages I have to set?

sounds like speedstep is on too me???
dont worry about voltages until it gets unstable, leave them at stock and gradually increase the multi, dont touch the BCLK as you wont get much out of it anyways and if you go too high you can kill yur cpu by putting the bclk up too much.

I think there's a newer version of CPU-Z (1.56.2) if i remember correctly thats supposed to show correct readings. Maybe try that?
