need help bad, im getting flustrated here!

Okay guys, iv got a soundblaster Omni, and from that iv got a Z5500 connected via optical cable, and also a 5.1 headset connected via audio jacks.

my headset works fine, but my z5500 is only playing 2 channels not even 2.1, just 2.

On SPDIF-out, it is set to dolby digital live, its always worked fine, but today, god knows what the hell it is doing. If I go to supported formats tab and click test on DTS audio and dolby digital, it plays all 5.1 channels, but when I go to advanced tab and set it to dolby digital, it just plays 2 channels, im getting mad as a atter here!! I don't know why its not playing 5.1 when it always has done fine.

need help asap before the whole lot gets thrown out the window lol.

Un-install the drivers use a cleaner than re-install them (new ones if there are any).

If that doesn't work, open a window and shout out that sound cards are a pain in the arse!

Fixed it, I should have done what you said in the first place.

I tried just uninstalling, installing older drivers the lot.

But a clean absolute wipe of them using driver sweeper fixed it. 3 hours of messing about for absolutely nothing. thank god its sorted.
