Id def go for the LED there better picture quality go into ******* and take a look at a LED tv compared to a LCD LED always looks better to me :)

+1

LED gives a much higher contrast ratio, equalling in better black vs white colouring and the colours i.e red, green, blue etc are much brighter and clearer than an LCD screen plus more responsive xD

Hope this helps xD

I would re-post this in the monitor section and await a reply form someone such as PCM2 who is very knowledgeable on the topic and will give you actual first hand advice rather than generic advice/advice from specs

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it only the backlight that's LED on the Asus VE278Q and the screen itself is just the same type of TN panel found on non-LED monitors?

Good point, I don't know about that but the led has 100,000,000 contrast ratio and the LCD a measly 100,000 so that wouldn't really bother me :)

Though 100,000,000 contrast is just marketing, that isn't true!

It's not that it's not true, it's the dynamic contrast ratio which (whilst being a piece of ****) is true.

Best to check the reviews, and see what the static contrast ratio is, and use that instead.

As stated, if you post or get a mod to move it to the Monitor section, im sure PCM2 will pop in and give you some advice. Could always check his website too for reviews on either monitors (if they're on there) :)
