That looks complicated. My recommendation would be as mattyj1085 said, streaming the video over a network and using media extenders connected to the displays. It would be miles easier to set up and you would get the same outcome.

im assuming there aren't any media extenders that allow me to use media centre + media browser and also playback any codec like i can on my pc?

The Western digital one I pointed you to plays nearly all codecs I havent got any media that it wont play interface is also pretty decent

I can confirm that the WD TV Live can playback everything I've chucked at it: AVIs, MKVs, MP4s, .TS, ISOs etc..
It sounds like you want a meaty project to do, but quite frankly it's going to be a lot of hassle and by the sound of it simply won't be reliable which will annoy the 4 'users'.

lol, you're right i was looking for a nice project to do. it probably wouldn't work either so ill probably be going with a few wdtv lives and some NAS.
