Hey guys, posted here but had a few adjustments to what i want so i'd like to ask for help 1 more time!

The purpose of the PC is to possibly stream and play new games and CS:GO mainly.

I've decided what main components i want
  • i74790k
  • GTX 970

I'd just like help completing the build and picking the most efficient cost effective parts that'll compliment this PC. One of the main things for me is that i travel a lot with my computer so a mini tower or smaller case would be perfect!

I've also got a spare antec 850w truepower thats barely been used and would like to know if i should use it or buy a new one.

Don't worry if it goes a little over budget i can stretch! :)

Not sure how much you're willing to stretch. You could go for more expensive CPU cooler if you wanted. Note that only up to 120mm fan/heatsink won't interfere with GPU on that motherboard due to the socket's low positioning. The mobo is £20 cheaper than the next Z97 ITX and is decent by all reports if not spectacular. Again, that's something to consider.

May as well use the PSU you have.

Another thing to consider stretching for is 16GB RAM as the ITX mobos only bring two memory slots so you wont be able to add more, only replace. I don't stream so not sure if more than 8GB is worth it or not.

The Metis case says it has a 170mm GFX card length, I'm sure that the GTX970 you picked is longer than that.

2400Mhz RAM for £10 more also.

Asus GeForce GTX 970 DirectCU Mini 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card thank did not have my glasses on derp

The PSU fan wont blow the correct way towards the back without blocking the ram. Am i doing something wrong? or should i just face it in the other direction
