I was meant to buy a pc about 8 months ago, but it seems a lot of prices have dropped and a lot of new hardware is around, so i was wondering if you guys could help and fill me in on what to buy.
What I wanted to buy was:
q6600,
x2 geforce 8800gts then went for a 9800 gx2 because of the dual screen issues.
2 tb of hdd (just turned £100 on offer here)
8gb of ddr2 ram and
an intel x38 mobo, think it was the asus maximum formula.
So what would you guys recommend now. after these few months, budget is around a grand, give or take couple hundred quid including keyboard, mouse, cables and the Samsung SM-223BW 22" monitor.
The other parts like case, watercooling and stuff, is seperate and got someone already for me.
Im having it watercooled also and gonna have about 4tb's of hdd.
So lets say 1.3grand for now, but cheaper would be better.
I run a lot of programs like photoshop, zbrush, dreamweaver, and play a lot of movies and endless games lol.
