Right basically i was looking at a 1155 socket mobo to use the 2500k with, at the mo i have 2 570 gtx which would need to fit on it. But they both have 3 slot aftermarketcoolers on so id need a mobo with 3 pcie slots, but im looking for a mobo that would run at dual x8 and not x8 and x4. Any recommendations?
Cheers for the help.

This board would be a pretty decent choice:

Are you planning on ever going three-way SLI? If so, the board has 3 PCI-E slots which would run at x8/x8 with two cards, but only or x8/x8/x4 with three cards.

If you only plan on having two cards then this won't be an issue.

The board is also PCI 3.0 ready once you put an Ivy Bridge CPU into it when the time comes.

plan was to use just the top and bottom because of 3 slot coolers, not sure the bottom will run x8 though? guessing only x4

You will find that very few boards (except for the very expensive ones which have bridging chips or X79 boards) can do much more than x4 on the bottom slot. Also, most cases will have trouble if you run the graphics card off a lower slot (especially if you have a triple slot cooler card)- as it may interfere with the PSU.

Therefore you either have to put up with not great cooling using the standard slots or go for a high-end board (so long as your case will be ok running your graphics card like this).

This board for example does:

- 5 x PCI Express x16 slots (single at PCIE 3.0* x16 (PCIE2) mode, dual at PCIE 2.0 x16 (PCIE1) / PCIE 2.0 x16 (PCIE4) mode
