Need help choosing between 2 cases

I've always thought the lian li p80 looks win. Since I saw it, I've wanted to make a build with it. But I'm not sure whether to go with the standard version:

Or, the red version.

If I get the black one, to powdercoat it and get a side panel would work out more expensive than the red.

However, the window would be bigger if I got a side panel for the black case.

Also, the red may look too flashy. It looks awesome now, but could become novelty or something. Most accessories are in black, very few are in read.

Please help me decide

if it was me there is more you can do with a blank canvas if i got the ati edition i wouldnt want to damage it so i would go for black

But then again, the red one is actually in stock somewhere, whereas nowhere has the black one

Depends on what you are putting inside the case. It wouldn't make sense (to me anyway) buying the red case, then putting Intel/NVidia based PC bits in it when it says ATI on the side. Black on the other hand it wouldn't matter. I'll wager the black model is cheaper than the red one anyway, so just buy the cheapest.

The black is cheaper, but powder coating it black on the inside and getting a side panel would work out more expensive than the red case.

However, in the end, I wouldn't powder coat it anyway, so I'm not sure. I'm leaning towards the black one now. I'll probably go with blue uv tubing for the watercooling.

Okay, I've decided to go with th black. thanks for the help everyone!

Now I'm unsure about colour scheme. I was thinking blue tubing/fluid. blue fans on the radiator and red cold cathodes. It sounds outrageous, but also sounds unique and sounds like it just might work :cool:

What do you think?

yes, I think so. I was unsure about the cold cathodes, but now I'm warming to the idea of red cathodes

I'm also considering the acid green look, it looks amazing in this case

word of warning. red ccfls look pink. ok if your goingfor the hello kitty look though.

I would get the black one mate. The red looks awful. And you're gonna feel like a right idiot if you get Nvidia cards for it

Get the black one and spray paint it yourself. Thats what I did, the sidepanal can be bought pretty cheaply if you look around too. The red would be nice but I just do not like the awefully designed sidepanal.
