Hey guys, never really been able to get my head around memory and im not the best when it comes to deciding what to choose. So i was wondering if you guys can help me chose between the following ? :

YOUR BASKET
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX24C11BRK2/8-OC) £71.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £69.95
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2666HC11CDC01) £65.99
Total : £217.52 (includes shipping : £8.00).

I understand the higher the mhz is better but i quite dont understand the timings which slightly confuses me.

I will be using it with an i7 4970k cpu and mostly for games like bf4 and wow.

I will appreciate if someone can chose the best one out of the 3 i have chosen or maybe recommend another memory? Thanks!

There will be minimal difference in performance as the higher frequency usually has higher timings.

If you have an aftermarket cooler i wouldnt get the lv ram as it may interfere with your cooler.

I would choose Kingston ram.

Thanks for all the advise guys!

Sorry i forgot to mention the cooler which i will be using will be a Corsair H105.

I kinda like the Teamgroup LV Xtreem and i think i remember reading somewhere that the new chips like higher frequencies on the memory? Forgive me if i am mistaken!

As for the g.skill that looks promising too and the timings look lower than the Kingston.

Weighing up the two: Teamgroup LV Xtreem LV has 2666 MHZ but has 11-13-13-31

The G.skill has 2400 MHZ but has 10-12-12-31.

The latency on the G skill is a lot better but the Teamgroup xtreem has 2666 MHZ. I am thinking anything over 2400 MHZ may not be a big difference? So i should stick with the G skill for the lower latency? If that makes sense :D

I think the Gskill may have a better chance of doing 2666MHzCAS10 than the Kingston does.

oops got them muddled up ! I meant 1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-21300C11 2666MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2666HC11CDC01) £65.99

I've now edited it around.

Sorry :D

Stulid what would you choose out of the G.skill or the Team group LV Xtreme?
