Need help deciding to wait or not.

I've currently got a XB271HU on pre order and well... there doesn't seem to be any clue to when it actually is gonna arrive in stock. It did say 29th Jan to begin with but that has come and gone now. Other sites quoting 25th Feb.

I'm debating cancelling the pre order and going for the Dell S2716DG for a few reasons.

1. It is £200 cheaper
2. I could have it this week
3. Less chance of QC issues like I've had with both the PG279Q and the Infamous XB270HU.

However it is TN.. and I do love IPS.

Anyone else want to comment on what they would do? Im eager to put this monitor upgrade to rest. I started trying to get an upgrade (to my Dell U2711) 10 months ago only to get bad samples (Acer+Asus) one after the other spread out over the course and it is taking it's toll now.

I've literally just posted a similar thread with regard to the XB270HU (b grade) and the Dell. Ive had my eye on the Dell for sometime also. Be interesting to see what people think.

I can't fault Dell when it comes to monitors, I've had my Dell 3008WFP for... 7 years now, and bar a single pixel width yellow line going down the screen on the right hand side, (oh and one of the power components going bust, requiring me to source, de-solder, re-solder, to fix) I haven't had a single problem with it.. it's been a solid and durable screen, and Dell's support and customer service have been top notch!

it is an IPS though, and did cost just over £1000 at the time. - and I haven't used a TN screen since...
