Im looking for a new Monitor to go with a new graphics card (still to be decided but around £15).

I want to play games at 1920x1080, though I don't always use high power games. They range from low intensity football manager 2011 to flight sim x, civ v and anything in between.

I currently have an old 19" wide screen monitor that is getting dimmer and dimmer and I think its time to replace it.

The question is do I stay with 19" or go 22".
I would like it to be fully HD, with HDMI input.
Speakers would be handy but not essential.
If not to expensive 120hz too. Otherwise will have to stay with 60 or 75.

Costs.... as little as possible ;-)

It's probably a lot better value to go for a 24" at the moment if you can stretch a little bit more, but obviously it depends how much you are willing to spend.

It's very hard to recommend anything without a budget.

Judging from similar Iiyama monitors (haven't used the E2409HDS in the past and it's a little dated now) it will be a solid and reliable performer. If you prefer something a bit more 'modern' looking with excellent image quality but aren't sure you want to make the jump from 19" to 24" you could go for the Samsung B2230H for around £130. It is an outstanding monitor at that price and is a size you should be quite comfortable with. There is really no reason to go for a 19" monitor these days as choice is very limited. There are still some 20 inchers floating about and some new lineups include this size but if you want the most out of a new graphics card you'll probably be wanting at least a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a bit more screen space.
