Waiting to respawn
ok, ive been looking at upgrading my ram,
ive narrowed my choice down to these according to my colour scheme (black && orange), price and performance but still not sure which to get.
i am preferably looking to spend no more than £100 give or take a few quid on an 8gb daul channel kit.

here are my choices:

1. Patriot Viper Xtreme.
this product is £175 on ocuk but ive found it in my price range elsewhere which i can not link due to forum rules.

2. Corsair Vengeance.

3. OCZ Reaper

any other sudgestions will be also helpfull.

thanks.

true it would be helpful lol.
well im using it for gaming and the reason for the upgrade is battlefield 3 to be more specific.
my current specs are:
mobo: Intel Z68 Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P
cpu: Intel Core i5-2500K
psu: Cooler Master GX 650W
gpu: MSI GeForce GTX 460 HAWK

not decided on a new cpu cooler but im using the antek kuhler h20 at the moment and also not decided on new gpu yet

Looks like you have done abit of reseach yourself and have a good idea of what you want to match your black and orange theme.

That kingston ram stulid suggested is ok i guess if your on a tight budget and dont mind the fact that there gray.

The ocz reaper and the corsair vengeance are very tall ram
So just remember there not going to fit under high quality heatsinks like the noctua - dh14
Out of your choices,
I just sourced these brand new for £65..... great ram and a bargain.

Patriot PXD38G1600LLK 8GB DDR3 1600 CL8 Dual Channel Kit Viper II Xtreme Division

Extreme Performance PC3-12800 (1600MHz)
Low Latency (8-9-8-24)
XMP Ready
Equipped with an extruded aluminum shield build around a copper core to provide improved cooling
100% Tested and Verified

However my favorite ram is G-skill :p

Another good option would be the Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 8GB Black LP (low profile) that has recently popped up. It is nice 1.5V RAM and is priced pretty well.

i do like the kingston ram stulid suggested and great price too, i could get 16gb for the price i am lookin to spend on 8gb however i don't see how 16gb would benefit me in anyway and also as spydell said they are grey which im not too keen on tbh.

the Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 8GB Black LP cmndr andi mentioned is deffo on my list now depending on my heatsink choice +1 for that recomendation.

i really do like the OCZ Reaper aswell but on the note of not being able to fit a high performance heatsink i think im going to have to rule that one out,
i think the patriot viper II xtreme division ram is at the top of my list at the moment but i would like to research into the the Corsair Vengeance lp's a bit more before i make my decition.
