Have a PC that is refusing to turn on.

There is power going to the motherboard as the green LED on the motherboard is illuminated.

When you press the power switch, the CPU and case fan move a mm or two and then nothing. Press the power switch again and this time the fans don't twitch but still no power.

Bit of a pain as I gave up on desktop PC's ages ago in favour of laptops, so don't have spare components to test.:(

Any help appreciated.

Last time id seen anything like this it was down to the PSU, id say try a replacement but im sure others may be better suited to advising you what to do!

It happened a while ago so I replaced the PSU. Had a feeling it might be the PSU again but wanted to make sure it wasn't the motherboard for example.

I'm just puzzled as to what would be causing the PSU to go all the time?

I recently had a problem like this, except it was on a on off loop. It could be that the cpu is not recieveing power make sure the connection to the cpu power header on the mobo is secure. In my case it was a faulty motherboard

EDIT: realised you already fixed it
