Need Help - Dxdiag Query

Hi, I noticed afew weeks ago when I checked dxdiag that it showed my graphics memory as only being 744MB.

I have a ATI 4870x2 which actually has 2 gigs of memory, I checked in the ATI CCC and it shows the correct memory, does anyone know why Dxdiag is giving me this wrong reading?

I have took a screenshot to illustrate the problem for you guys (red boxes)

It says the 'aproximate' value. if it was me I would consider it to be a fault of the dxdiag.

Mine recons I have 2736MB I wouldn't trust it.

My 4870 x2 sayS exactly the same.Maybe its normal?

thanks for the input guys, I guess if a lot of people have dodgy dxdiag readings, then it must be the dxdiag at fault.... guess I will just leave it alone

mine shows as 4064MB I wouldn't worry about it....

Dont know what kind of video card does dx diag think I have but its rolf.
