Need help editing a file.

Hi all

I'm trying to find a program for windows 7 64 that will let me edit a Linux "vendor" file on the 2nd partition.

I'm trying to install synology on the N54L, I have burnt the img file I got and it made 2 partition.
Now I can see the first partition ok but I can't see the second partition to get to the file.

This is were the "vendor" file I need to edit. I have found loads of programs that let me see the 2nd partition but not one to do both.
My Ubuntu machine mother board has gone, so I can't use that.

I have tried
Ubuntu 32\64 install from disc and from the setup in windows. A no go on my Mpower Z77. So I really need a windows based program.

Right then I installed Ubuntu Studio and it's ok. So I'm good to go

But if anyone does knows a windows program that lets you see all partitions and lets you edit the files please post.

I heard of Cygwin but I'm not sure how it works and what it can do?

Cygwin let's you run certain Linux programs but I don't think it would let you see the partition.

In this situation I'd boot from a LIVE CD, a good Linux one should let you see both.
