need help fast im about to make my order , what memory should i buy upto £35
need only 4gb

i am ordering i5 2500k sandybridge
and a p8z68-v socket 1155 motherboard

Corsair Vengeance Blue 4GB (2x2GB) seems to be a good buy and within your budget.
I am running 12 gig with mine same set up as you listed

dont get the vengance - it will stop 99% of the high end air coolers from fitting. go for the corsair XMS3 1600Mhz. its exactly the same frequency, exactly the same timings, works on a lower voltage, and wont block any cooler on sale
(although the timings and voltage arent really that important)

*edit*
@prt: how are you running 12GB on a motherboard that uses dual channel RAM? have you got two 4GB sticks and two 2GB sticks or something?

I'll just chip in here. I just grabbed 2 sticks of this and the stuff is MASSIVE. Luckily I have been able to stick them in slots 3 & 4 for the time being as I have nothing to put in slots 1 & 2.

Unsure if this has any impact, but lets just say if I am looking for something in the future, its going to be finless.

Hoping, and would be nice if someone chipped in with some insight, that I should be able to get some RAM with the same timings for slots 1 & 2 that hasn't gone for the Vanilla Ice look.

all i can say is that it is running sweet and fast, does everything i throw at it and more
oc'd to 4.6 a stable, what more can i say. Each to his own.
What does it matter what config I am running anyway, this thread is to help the op select memory.

No need to get all defensive.

Some people might be grateful for the advice that running 3 sticks of RAM is not ideal on a dual channel system.

Sorry fella, did not mean to be a ###k towards you
I do understand that it is not ideal.
I will look to add the fourth stick in a few weeks or so to complete the dual pairs.
Just been building up other things in between like.
It's not causing any problems running it this way, just not getting the full speed or benefit of all the modules yet. Even when the fourth stick is added I won't see a noticeable increase in speed
