Just had a phone call from the missus saying she's having trouble getting fuel in my car, turns out she was trying to fill it with DIESAL!!!

She says she put about £2 worth in, and that there was a quarter tank in there already.

If she fills it up with *petrol* is there a fair chance that the diesal will dilute enough to be able to run.

How the hell did she fit the nozzle into the filler pipe? Women really do surprise me at times.

Your best betwould be to fill the tank to the brim with petrol, it should dilute it enough to not cause too much bother. Brim the tank and then after a few miles, brim it again, rinse and repeat. If there's only £2 in it, it should be fine

Lord knows!!! just had a call from her, she's back on the road and it's running okay. The RAC advised her to brim the tank; the car my get a bit smokey but it should be okay on such a small dilute.

I guess being an oil the diesel should just lube my injectors and valves , right? ;)
