need help for a gaming spec

Hello everyone

I am currently looking for a new rig on a 900£ budget ,my pc is 4/5 years old (cpu:athlon64 x2 4200+ @2.2ghz/mobo: MSI k9n platinum/GPU: hd4850)and i feel like it's time to change
the main use for the new rig will be gaming ,mainly FF14 as smooth as possible with some hight setting @ 1900x1080

i wanted something future proof and hoping this rig will last me a few years with minor upgrade like another hd5850 and PSU upgrade if needed.
I will try to OC the cpu and that's why i went for the Asus mobo (apparently this board is made for OC with ease and good result)and watercooling solution.i have done it in the past with a P4 2.4ghz @ 3.4ghz i had a thermaltake Aquarius 3 and a DFI lanparty mobo,it's a long time ago but still pretty much the same thing i guess and there is few guides to help me

But once again i'm not quite sure if this is a good build or i could get something else with the same performance or better for less or at the same price

so i'm looking for some experts to help me on a new build.i'm planning on getting it by the end of the month (hopefully ^^)and with the new ati gpu coming up maybe the price on the ati gpu will drop and i will be able to get the 5850 cheaper with hope,i know the sandy bridge and bulldozer coming out next year but i don't think i will be able to wait till then

yes crossfire/sli

i went for the ASRock 890GX Extreme3 AMD 890gx at first but didn't find any good review on it and nobody had review this one on the OcUK website so i was thinking don't risk it and the Crosshair has all the features like turbo key,game first level cpu etc.. i was blindly thinking that the one i need But if the ASRock give me about the same performance as the Crosshair for 50£ cheaper i'll go for it and if this ram is better i'll go for this one as well(i'm lost when it comes to RAM so went for the corsair since most of the OcUK build got it so i couldn't go wrong)

will the I5 perform as well or better than the Phenom II 1055t ?
The main raison i went for the AMD build was for the 2 extra core,i know most of the game don't use all the core but with the Turbo CORE i could get better performance with the AMD (from a noob point of view >.<)and if AMD bulldozer is compatible with the AM3 socket it will be a + if i want to change the cpu in the future but nothing sure as today.

the ram is very good value for money, normally im a Corsair man myself, but for £70 you cant go wrong.

now onto the i5 760 vs 1055t, yes the i5 is faster at most things except a few select tests and tasks which judging by your spec wont interest you as it looks almost a 100% gaming pc your interested in?

i5 760 vs 1055t at stock speeds - http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/191?vs=147 be carefull looking at the graphs, sometimes its "lower is better".

also theres this test - http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/amd-phenom-ii-x6-1055t-overclocking.html with the 1055t at 4ghz compared too i5 750 at 4ghz also.

also with intel system you can do either sli or crossfire, with the amd system its crossfire only, just make sure the motherboard of either system runs both slots at the same speed, most of the motherboards out there for i5 and AM3 do it wrong.

lastly its been confirmed that the new Bulldozer will require a new motherboard AM3+ which means the chip wont work with AM3 boards, but, the AM3 cpu and DDR3 ram will work in the new AM3+ boards, so there is some forward compatibility at least.

yes ,we can say 100% gaming i don't do encoding photo editing etc or if i do it's once every year lol
Thank you for the links their was very helpfull and now i'm thinking more about the I5 build with crossfire and the test shown that the i5 will be more likely what i need for what i'm going to do with the pc(if i got it right)
and i can forget about the AMD3 and bulldozer cpu so i rather go with a good strong build from the start

few changes from the build you gave me but i guess the same performance.
It comes already built,the overclocking it's done @4.0ghz just plug and play, i was excited to build it myself but scarred to do something wrong and i wont be able to get another parts if i screw it,so i might go for this one .

i just find out on the Asus website while checking the motherboards spec,apparently the mobo does not run both pci at same speed ,the P7P55D-E EVO deluxe have 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16 or dual at x8 / x8 mode),i was thinking to give a call to OcUK and see if i could swap for the P7P55D-E EVO
