Need help from Overclockers

HI All,

I have a laptop Del Vostro 1500.

Its has a 8600m in it. I plug it into my monitor from time to time with the VGA port.

Now if i use it as a mirror image (I.e) same image on both screen everything is fine. Win media player works on both.,

now if i try to use them seperatly I>E to extend the desktop so i can play games on one and video on other both then games (old window mode Asherons call) and windows media play load play sound but both are just BLACK

So i can see the windows backgound desktop image but media player movies just show black screen.

is there anything i can do?
 
The second screen wont show things needing direct x i believe (I think it will only run on one screen at a time) My itunes does the same whilst running a game on the other screen.
 
but not even the main screen shows it... seems strange sure there must be a fix. isnt there something like nvidia tweak but just cant find it
