I put my comp back together after cleaning it and i think i put the ram back in the wrong slots as i keep getting BSOD.

I have 2 x 512mb and 1 x 1gb which slots do i put them in on a Abit NF7 V2.0?

Look if i wanted to boot my system up 6 times run memtest or equivalent for 10 minutes each time i would have done that.

Just wanted to use someones knowledge to save me some time.

from what i gather about the board, to run 3 sticks of ram in the 3 slots and still have dual channel working you need to have the two idential ram chips placed in slots 1 and 2, then the larger ram placed in the third slot on its own.

so you should have
slot 1: 512mb
slot 2: 512mb
slot 3: 1Gb

I get an error straight away in S&M.

Yet on prime95 im currently on the third test withou any errors how strange...

Maybe one of the DIMM's is faulty.

Run memtest on each single dimm individually and see if you get any errors.

Hmmmm i havnt had a BSOD since i changed my ram around and all my games and applications are running like normal.

I may just leave it for a week or so and see how it goes.

definately do that if your worried the ram isn't working properly.

and as i said mate, the board is supposed to have dual channel in slots 1+2 whilst slot 3 is the "extra" slot. hence why its slightly seperated from the other two slots.
